Vacation

This year we decided since we weren't going out to visit family we should do our own family vacation before Charlie started his new job.
We started out in Orlando with some friends for the weekend. We just stayed at the hotel and swam and enjoyed the activities there. The girls became brave by watching their friends and held a big snake and an alligator. We also went to dinner at a Japanese steak house. It is funny to see how the girls automatically start eating with chopsticks like it is a requirement. Hailey also received her first sting from a wasp, and we visited the temple as well.

We then headed to the West Coast of Florida and went to Marco Island. We literally just spent all day and night in the pool or the beach but mostly the pool. Every morning Brynley would wake up and Charlie would take her out while the girls and I slept and then when we woke up we would all go out and swim. Charlie would use his mornings to go to the grocery store to keep us stocked up on snacks and meals. When we first arrived Hailey was car sick and threw up and then was fine. A couple days in Aubrey had too much sun and spent half a day sleeping and throwing up and then was fine as well. Charlie and I would take turns taking Brynley up for her nap each day and relaxing in the room. At the end of the week we had a visit from Charlie's sister and her kids so the kids were able to play with their cousins and then they took Hailey and Aubrey back with them and Charlie, Brynley and I spent the last day and night together. We decided not to spend the last day swimming since the girls were gone and went shopping at some outlets instead. Poor Brynley spent the day whining at me to get dressed every time I was in a dressing room and telling us to go to the car. That night we saw her have a nightmare; she was reaching her arms out and telling me to get dressed while her eyes were closed. Kind of funny and sad.

After we checked out we headed to Saane's house which was about an hour away and went to Lia's baptism. (I'm hoping to get a picture of that from someone) Afterward we went to a ghetto circus but still had fun. The next day was Sunday so we went to church with them and then had a wonderful meal and headed home to end our very relaxing/fun vacation. (The kids went to Chic-Fil-A appreciation day while they were together as well)

After we got back from our trip Saane, Lia, Aleki and baby Aaron came down the next day for a visit so we were able to spend more time with them. The kids took turns spending the night at our house and grandma's house. They went to the movies, shopping and Chuck E Cheese. It is always fun when cousins come to visit. Too bad I wasn't good with the camera that week.
