Posting Comments

For those of you that don't have a gmail email address you can still post comments if you want. Just click into the comments section and on the side it has a place to sign in your current email address and any password you want. Just as soon as you do that you are free to post comments and you didn't get a new email address or anything like that, it's fast, free and easy. I mention this because my friend Jen said we should do a poll for the sex of the baby and I think that is a good idea. So coming soon I will put up a post for that and then once everyone has weighed in on the issue we will get the results in about a month.

Memorial Weekend

Hope everyone had a good memorial weekend. I started mine off at the salon on Friday and then we went to dinner at a steakhouse because the baby wanted a yummy steak :) On Saturday Charlie went golfing so Hailey and I played around at the park and pool. After naps we took Hailey to her first movie to see Shrek. She had lots of fun but I think her favorite part was the popcorn and candy. Sunday was like any other. Monday we had some friends that rented a boat and some other friends who had a jet ski, so we took Hailey on her first boat ride and jet ski. We spent most of the day at the beach and then we ordered pizza and watched a movie in the evening. It turned out to be a fun and relaxing weekend. I forgot the camera so we don't have any pictures, maybe next time.

Mommy's Helper

Hailey likes to help mom around the house, like here she is helping me make lasagna. Yesterday I was finally motivated enough to whip my house into shape with vacuuming and mopping which hadn't been happening very much since I became pregnant. Hailey was right there with me helping me out, or so I thought. I gave her a rag and Windex and told her to clean the sliding glass door. I hear her laughing from my duties in the kitchen and look over at her and she says "mommy, look my hand". She thought it was so funny that she could see her hand print on the glass, so she made lots of little hands. Needless to say the sliding glass door is now dirtier then when she started and I still haven't got around to cleaning it.

Wild Child

She mainly just has wild hair. She has had hair issues for about a year and a half now, thank goodness she has a cute face. I can do her hair in a ponytail, pigtails, braids, and I've even done a french braid and she looks so cute. The only problem is the second she gets home she pulls her rubber band out and becomes what we call her....a rooster. She even calls herself a rooster when she happens to glance at herself in the mirror.

Our Latest Project

This is he/r! This ultrasound was done at 7 weeks, so about a month and a half ago. Didn't look like a baby yet at that point. They do an early ultrasound here in Florida unlike Utah so it was exciting not to have to wait so long to see that something was actually growing. The baby will come right around Thanksgiving time---so 6 more months and counting.
We told our families about the big news on Mother's Day with the new web cams we got them.
It's amazing that something so little can wreak havoc on a body. My doctor said I am on the verge of hypoglycemia (too much insulin) but once I figure out how to regulate what works for my body I should be good to go because my first trimester is just about over. I drank a glass of orange juice the other day just to see if my body could handle all the sugar and because it was freshly squeezed by my dear husband and I really wanted some and then I felt really dizzy, so no juice for me. But, all of these inconveniences are worth the end result!
Hailey loves to join us for the doctors visits and hear the heart beat. She thinks she is growing 2 babies in her tummy.

Evolving Blog

I still haven't decided how much time and effort I am going to put into this blog; whether it be a lot of day to day journal entries or mostly posting of pictures. So I guess we will just have to see how it evolves, but I think it will be fun. I don't know why I haven't looked into this before now. Knowing me, once I get more energy again, I will get really into it so keep checking back.

Here We Are

Our happy family. We currently reside in Florida and are enjoying it here. Hailey is 3 years old and has become such a big girl. Charlie works hard as a Purchasing Manager at Mercedes Homes and I (julie)work hard in the home keeping an eye on an active 3 year old.
