So, I guess I took the summer off from my blog. I really enjoyed my summer and dreaded the start of school but now that I have been through almost 2 days of school I'm realizing maybe it's not so bad but then again homework hasn't started yet. For some reason with Hailey in school it gives me more time to actually get on my computer, not sure why but it does. This post will be a general summer post to catch up a little bit on what we have been up to. Charlie turned 33 right before school got out. There was also love bug season that happened right before school got out as well. It is a "lovely" few weeks of love bugs flying everywhere and covering your doorways and car and causing an annoyance. I enlisted the help of Aubrey to daily vacuum up the doorways.Brynley overcame her aversion to food (well technically I figured out she just hated baby food) and entered the world of meat. Here she is finishing off a rib.
As a side not she just outgrew her bumbo last week at 10 months old when she figured out how to get out. That was a sad day for me, she spent lots of time on the counter watching me fix dinner. We went on a trip to Utah to visit my family for the first time in 2 years. The family had grown since our last visit so there were lots of cousins to play with this time. You may notice in Hailey's pictures that she has a huge bump and bruising. She received that our second day there by falling out of a tube and tumbling all the way down a water slide. It was very sad but she took it like a trooper and all of her pictures are marred by the mishap. We did lots of playing indoors and outdoors. Brynley had some her size to play with and Hailey being the oldest was a good little babysitter. We celebrated my Dad's 71st birthday. I found a picture with me in it at the bowling alley. We watched a couple parades, a couple firework shows and a couple outdoor music shows. Went to the water park, did some bowling and some mini golf. We also saw some of Charlie's family who live out there as well (forgot the camera, sorry)
Our last few days we took it easy because Brynley ended up getting pretty sick. After a couple weeks of fun we started out the way we came with Hailey sick on the way there and on the way back, but I survived the plane ride home with three girls by myself.
