Hailey's 6th Birthday

We really enjoyed our spring break. I took spring break literally and slept in and did a lot of frozen dinners so I didn't have to cook, even the weather finally caught on that it was spring and it was a beautiful week. Charlie caught spring fever as well and took a couple days off to go fishing and for Hailey's birthday. Hailey's birthday was the last day of spring break on Friday so here is a post for her birthday.
We started the day with birthday hugs

Grandpa came by and woke us all up with a surprise breakfast.

Then we headed off to Sea World. They had a special Sesame Street show going on so we went to that and then met the characters.

We went to pet the sting rays

Here's Aubrey trying to dive in with the sting rays.

After lunch, the shark encounter, and the Sea Lion and Otter show we made it over to happy harbor for a ride
and then to play in the water

After the water we headed home to open presents and eat cake with Grandma and Grandpa

Once again Grandma made the cake and it turned out cute. It was a fun filled day!

Big News

Those few who read my blog probably already know about both of the big news items we have for the summer time but here is my official announcement to all.
One: We are building a house
Two: We are having another baby
The house is due in June and the baby is due in September
It will be another busy but exciting summer for us.
The house plans are going well, Charlie has been putting a lot of time and effort into it while I don't do very much to help. I guess my excuse is I'm busy growing a baby right now and I trust him. This pregnancy has been going very well so far. I haven't been as sick or tired as my other two which is a blessing.

Sea World

We decided to do a Sea World season pass this year since you pay for a day and come back all year for free. (We haven't been since the whole whale killing incident, we'll have to let you know if they make changes to the Shamu show)
Just wondering if other parents stick their barely 2 year olds on rides that go way up in the air? I was okay with the teacup one but this one made me a little nervous, it turned out she loved it and the girls just laughed and screamed the whole time.

I like it Jesus

Last night we were decorating for Christmas and Hailey was setting up the Nativity. Aubrey saw the baby Jesus and grabbed it and started carrying it around the house saying "Jesus baby". I was finishing up dinner preparations when I looked down and saw Aubrey with a blanket trying to cuddle and cover up the baby Jesus like she does her baby dolls.
Hailey wasn't happy that Aubrey kept taking the baby Jesus out of the Nativity scene so I found another set for her to give to Aubrey but instead Aubrey started carrying around both of them. When I called them over for dinner she came running up and set both babies down next to her plate and then in her loud voice said "I like it Jesus, I like it Jesus" while she folded her arms for prayers. It was the cutest thing. When she likes something she says "I like it_____(fill in the blank with whatever she likes) It is funny to hear.

Aubrey's 2nd Birthday

Aubrey turned 2 on Nov. 24. We went to the local zoo for a little bit to play in the play area and then we had dinner and lots of birthday games including the pinata I mentioned Hailey and I were making. It was a simple yet really fun birthday!

Thanksgiving crafts

So I'm behind but here are the girls dressed up for halloween
For some reason I've been feeling a little crafty and we have done a few thanksgiving crafts this month. Here is a hat Hailey and I made and some turkey cookies. I don't really like the whole process of making sugar cookies but Hailey got the idea off TV and was really excited about it. Although it was messy as usual we had fun. Aubrey just liked playing with the dough and flour and then all she ate were the candy corns and left the cookie. We are also working on a turkey pinata which will probably appear in Aubrey's birthday post next week.

My Birthday Weekend

So I had another birthday and am sad to announce I am no longer in my twenties, but as most thirty year olds discover it turns out it isn't as old as it once seemed. Charlie surprised me with a hotel stay by disney. You know how when you check in and you ask for a king size bed and they never have any? Well, when we checked in the lady asked us if we wanted a king size bed and an upgrade for free, it was a nice surprise. It also came with a big screen TV and we were prepared and brought our DVD player so we could watch a movie in bed. The next day we went to Magic Kingdom together. I have been a bunch of times and I always love it but this time we actually did some rides that I usually skip over so it was fun to change it up a bit. The best part of all was enjoying time together without any kid distractions (Thanks to Kalo, mom and dad for your help) On Sunday we got together with Charlie's family for dinner and cake, it was a fabulous weekend!
