Easter 2008

For some reason I forgot about Easter pictures. Better late than never. Hailey went to two park Easter egg hunts. At one of them they gave free goodies, popcorn drinks and pictures with the Easter bunny. She had fun dying eggs and getting her Easter baskets. We gave her Easter stuff to her on Saturday so that we could try and keep the spirit of the day better. Actually her basket is still sitting in my closet because she kept acting up on Saturday and she never asked for it back. She really enjoyed the Easter lesson we gave about the Resurrection on Sunday and wanted to do it again the next day. It made me realize I need to do a better job of teaching her gospel stories because she does listen and remember. We had a yummy ham dinner with Charlie's family as well. My mom gave Hailey a dress and Aubrey used one of Hailey's dresses from when she was a baby. I of course wore the same old same old, maybe I'll get myself an Easter dress one of these years.

This week in Pictures

I asked Hailey to get the stroller and she brought me her stroller so I thought I would give it a try. It was so funny to see a big baby in that little stroller with Hailey pushing it around. Speaking of big Baby....I took Aubrey for her 4 month check up and she was 18 1/2 pounds. Just to put that in perspective she is Bigger than every female baby her same age. She is way off the percentage charts, I don't know where she hides it :)

I just love how I find Hailey hanging out with Aubrey all the time. It is amazing that she can have fun and find ways to play with a 4 month old. It's nice that they can keep each other busy and they aren't at the fighting stage yet. I do have to keep an eye on them because one day I found Hailey dragging Aubrey around for a little ride on the little pooh couch pictured at the top, that was pretty funny as well.

At the Park

Aubrey loves heads. You put a head in her lap and she will be happy as can be. I couldn't get her to turn away from Charlie's head to look at the camera. We love this time of year when we can play outside together.
I know I post a lot of random pictures but it is my way to let my far away family and friends watch the kids grow and see a glimpse of life because we don't get to see each other near enough.

Update on Life

I am way behind on keeping things updated. I was tagged about a million years ago and if the kids don’t wake up (they are both miraculously sleeping at the same time) then I will try to get around to that. Let’s see…We got a new SUV last week because Charlie’s car was falling apart. It is very nice; I will have to post pictures whenever I get around to taking some. I have been exercising for 5 days a week for 4 weeks straight now. I have never done that in all my life, I have always been a sporadic exerciser. I’m in a competition with some ladies in the ward; otherwise I would never do something like that on my own. While it is a big pain it also makes me feel good about trying to take care of my body. I continue to loose my mind. I managed to smash my phone in our car door and send charlie’s phone sailing off into the street on Saturday. His survived and mine did not. Today I lost my keys and my phone and both were thankfully recovered. One was in the park mulch and the other folded up in a camping chair. I know some people don’t believe that pregnancy and nursing mess with the brain but they really do. Normally I can remember where I place everything so it is a little frustrating to have so many slip ups, such is life. So life is good and the family is good. Might as well post a few random photo's of the fam.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was great this year. I went to a salon for the day and then on a dinner and movie date in the evening. We also went on a double date to our ward valentine's dance and went to dinner beforehand. Two dates in one week is unheard of. So here is a picture of the proof.The baby tagged along for both dates, but she isn't too much trouble yet.
