Charlie and Hailey went on their first official Daddy Daughter date last Friday. Hailey planned the date and they went to dinner at Chili's and then to a baseball game. They had a good time together and stayed out late.

Let School Begin
The summer break flew by for me. We kept busy and here are a few highlights.

Saane also took Hailey back with her for a week so she could hang out with her cousins and we all enjoyed the break.
Charlie's sister, Kalo, returned from her mission
Charlie's other sister, Saane, came out for a visit with her kids and we did a lot of fun things including a Disney trip.

Utah Trip 2009
Last month we went to Utah and visited my family. We did a lot of things and had a lot of fun. I will spare you all the details and post a few pictures more for my memoirs sake than anything. Here's the Children's Museum in SLC, it is actually fun and worth the money if you have kids

We celebrated my Dad's birthday while we were there and went to the petting farm at Thanksgiving Point

Art City Days was going on in Springville (which is where my parents live) so we tried to take advantage of the free events going on around town. It rained a lot when we were there so a lot of the events got rained out but we made it to the carnival for a while before we got soaked.
Hailey got REALLY sick while we were there and spent about 4 days laying around the house so we had to take turns babysitting and she missed out on a lot of things.

We kind of had a BYU day visiting the bookstore and bowling and the Bean Museum

Charlie's Birthday
Charlie's birthday was at the beginning of May but I've been having problems with posting so that is the reason for the delay. He was actually out of town on his birthday so the girls and I threw him a little surprise party the night before he left for just the four of us. We ended up having a lot of fun and he was surprised.
Here are the girls helping me prepare for the party by making signs for decorating.
After we chowed down on party food we played some games. The first game we played was pin the tail on the donkey.
The birthday boy won despite his rough start, as you can see he is no where near the donkey.

We also played several balloon games.
